Rocheston CyberLabs Rules & Code of Conduct Strict Enforcement – Zero Tolerance Policy
You are responsible for every action performed with your account.
Violations will result in immediate removal, permanent ban, academic penalties, and possible legal action.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY
Rocheston provides access to cybersecurity tools, platforms, and resources—including Rocheston ROSE OS, which contains advanced hacking and penetration testing tools—strictly for academic, training, and research purposes.
These tools and resources are NOT to be used for any illegal, unauthorized, or unethical activity, inside or outside the lab.
YOU MUST:
Use the lab environment only for assigned coursework and approved activities.
Access only the systems, servers, and devices specified by your instructor.
Protect your login credentials. Never share your username or password.
Report any accidental access, vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, or policy violations immediately to your instructor or Rocheston support.
Comply with all local, national, and international laws and regulations related to technology, cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy.
Log out and close all lab sessions when your work is complete.
Acknowledge that all activity is monitored, recorded, and may be used as evidence in academic or legal proceedings.
Respect the privacy of others. Only access data or resources you are explicitly authorized to use.
Use only fictitious or anonymized data in your exercises, unless you are given clear written authorization to use real data.
Fully cooperate with any investigation into suspected policy violations.
Promptly report any unclear policies, vulnerabilities, or accidental exposures to Rocheston.
YOU MUST NOT:
Do NOT use the labs or any provided tools for penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or scanning of any real-world, production, or third-party systems.
Accounts involved in such activity will be immediately suspended.
Do NOT attempt to hack, attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any computer, network, server, or device—inside or outside the lab.
Do NOT scan, probe, ping, fingerprint, or interact with any systems or networks unless you have explicit written permission from your instructor AND from the owner of the system.
Do NOT use lab resources to target, test, or impact any public or private website, service, application, or network not directly assigned to you.
Do NOT use, deploy, or distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, trojans, spyware, or any malicious code under any circumstances outside assigned simulations.
Do NOT attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with any security controls, firewalls, or monitoring systems of the lab or any third party.
Do NOT perform denial of service (DoS or DDoS) attacks, brute-force attacks, password cracking, or any similar activity unless specifically authorized as part of a controlled lab exercise.
Do NOT attempt to access, copy, modify, share, or delete data belonging to other users, Rocheston, or any third party.
Do NOT use the lab to commit, attempt, or support any illegal, unethical, or unauthorized activity.
Do NOT share or publish any lab instructions, tools, exploits, or confidential information outside the authorized learning environment.
Do NOT impersonate others, forge identities, or attempt social engineering against any person, organization, or system.
Do NOT use lab resources for paid work, business projects, bug bounty programs, or any commercial/real-world testing.
Do NOT download, export, copy, or share any resources, code, images, programs, libraries, scripts, or documentation from the lab or ROSE OS without explicit written permission from Rocheston.
Do NOT upload, publish, or redistribute any materials from the lab—including code, images, tools, exercises, or documentation—on GitHub, public websites, forums, file-sharing services, or external platforms.
Do NOT search for, download, create, store, share, or transmit any illegal, offensive, or prohibited content, including:
Racist, hate speech, discriminatory, or extremist content of any kind
Pornographic or sexually explicit materials
Materials promoting, glorifying, or facilitating terrorism, violence, or criminal activity
Copyright-infringing content
Any other materials prohibited by law or institutional policy
Do NOT attempt to recover, access, or restore deleted files or configurations without authorization.
Do NOT assign, sublicense, or transfer your lab access to anyone else.
PROHIBITED CONTENT
You are strictly forbidden from using the lab environment, ROSE OS, or any Rocheston resources to search for, download, create, store, share, transmit, or access any content that is illegal, offensive, or otherwise prohibited by law.
Violation will result in immediate and permanent suspension, reporting to the authorities, and possible legal action.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & COPYRIGHT NOTICE
All content, tools, images, programs, code, scripts, exercises, and resources provided in this lab or within ROSE OS are the exclusive property of Rocheston and its licensors.
Downloading, exporting, copying, or sharing any of these materials outside the authorized lab environment is strictly forbidden without prior written permission from Rocheston.
Violation of this policy will result in immediate suspension, academic penalties, and may lead to legal action.
NO EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY OR DATA RECOVERY
There is no expectation of privacy. All lab activity is monitored and logged.
Rocheston does not guarantee backup or recovery of any student data, files, or configurations in the lab environment. Data loss is your responsibility.
NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
Rocheston will not provide technical assistance for any activities that violate these rules or any applicable laws.
IMMEDIATE TERMINATION AND NOTIFICATION Rocheston reserves the right to suspend or terminate access immediately, without prior notice, and to notify relevant academic bodies, sponsors, and authorities in the event of violations.
CHANGES TO POLICY
Rocheston reserves the right to update, amend, or change these rules at any time. Continued use of the labs after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
JURISDICTION
All use of this lab, and all disputes or claims arising from lab use, are governed exclusively by the laws of Singapore. Any legal actions or proceedings shall be brought in the courts of Singapore.
FINAL REMINDER
Cybersecurity is a privilege and a responsibility. Treat this environment, your fellow students, and the wider world with respect. Abuse will not be tolerated. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.
